Motorcycle fuel overconsumption

The engine's fuel consumption curve is hook-shaped, with the lowest fuel consumption in the medium speed range. Medium speed generally refers to 3000-4000 revolutions per minute. Below this speed, the reduced air-fuel mixture flow rate leads to uneven mixing and poor combustion, resulting in increased fuel consumption. Above this range, in order to fully utilize the engine's maximum power, the engine carburetor supplies a richer fuel mixture, also increasing fuel consumption. Based on this principle, keeping the speed within the medium speed range will inevitably save fuel. Check Direction Possible Cause Solution Usage Aspects 1. Frequent overloading Correct bad habits 2. Not driving at the economical speed Improve driving habits 3. Using incorrect fuel grade Use according to the manual 4. Fuel system leakage Repair the fuel system Engine Aspects 1. Mixture ratio is too rich Adjust the carburetor or clean the air filter 2. Insufficient engine power Repair according to insufficient power failure 3. Clutch slippage Repair according to clutch slippage Driving System 1. Excessive driving resistance Check tire pressure and repair bearings and brakes 2. Inappropriate gear ratio Adjust the appropriate final gear ratio
